N3UG Meeting

N3UG Meeting Tonight

This presentation will provide a crash course in WCF, with many small but useful examples. It assumes no prior knowledge of WCF and the .NET 3.0 framework. It begins by covering everything you need to download and install, and then presents several demo projects to show how WCF works. I'll create some basic WCF services that I'll host in .NET, and then I'll show how to host WCF services in IIS. I'll cover each project step-by-step, so that the attendee can see small WCF demos built from beginning to end. I'll also cover the differences between web ASMX web services and WCF services. As WCF utilizes interfaces and .NET generics, this session will cover them by incidence as well.
