Today Microsoft launched its new open source web site. Starting in 2001, they began thinking long and hard about open source from the perspective of it as a dev model, a business model, a licensing model, and a philosophical approach to software. 

Working with all the developer communities is a very good idea.

A prediction  that Google's influence will see Atom become the dominant feed publishing standard within the next few years.

The Atom feed format is an upgrade to RSS and as more and more publishers migrate to it we will arrive at a tipping point. There is so much that needs to be done along the lines of Tagging, attention and identity; Atom will help move us along.
