Microsoft can't find a way to stop all the bad Press so they have decided to go after the good. Six of my blog posts were deleted because they pointed to videos I uploaded from TechEd. TechEd attendance is down and apparently they have lost money this year, so now they are hoping to break even through the sale of the conference DVD.
The videos I made here were intended for an audience of developers, developers, developers. By introducing new and exciting beta content we are helping it's adoption. All new technologies require precious time to learn and practice before we can use them in production.
Software developers are not going to purchase a TechEd conference DVD and the speakers whom all gave permission to video their presentations are not getting a percentage of the sale. Amazingly my videos were linked to by the Virtual TechEd site, so I have to wonder why it took four days before the blundering TechEd owners took this foolish action.
