MIX07 Vista Ultimate

Windows Vista Ultimate for all MIX07 Attendees

All MIX07 attendees will receive a free copy of Windows Vista Ultimate, the one with the most checkboxes on the chart . Yes, this is the full edition, not an upgrade. We’re talking a suggested retail value of $399 USD! And guess what? Our Windows Vista Family Discount applies too. That means that—if you qualify—you can purchase up to two household PC upgrades to Windows Vista Home Premium for only $49.99 USD each! All told, that’s a value somewhere around $617 USD. This might be the closest to a “sure thing” you’ll ever see in Vegas.

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL! Register before March 15, 2007 for a $200 discount

Visual Studio Valentine

Valentines day 2002 was when Visual Studio Launched, I remember Bill Gates holding up the first copy with a red heart on it.

I just found the video from 2002 with Bill Gates and Anders Hejlsberg.

Windows Next

Microsoft Statement in Response to Speculation on Next Version of Windows

The gossip blogs are all abuzz over the next version of Windows and I'll bet most of them haven't yet tried the current version.

Those of us who regularly attend Dot Net User Groups knew about Blackcomb before the first community preview of Longhorn.

At the Microsoft Partners conference back in July Steve Ballmer promised a new OS two years after the launch of Windows Vista and another one two years after that.

I understand they are now calling Blackcomb  Vienna, but code names mean nothing. When the first community preview is available for download I'll grab it, when beta 1 comes out I'll format a partition and install it just to see what happens.

This is what makes technology endeavors so exciting, everyday there is something new, something better, something that amazes you.
