Lucky in Vegas

I had just gotten home from an excellent NJMSDEV User Group meeting, where our founder Bill Zentmayer returned to give a talk when I found this message in my inbox:

Paul,

Congratulations! You have been randomly selected as the winner of the CES 2006 Dell $1,500 Promotional Gift Card Give Away. Please reply and indicate if you accept this prize.  To receive the prize, I need a completed Sweepstakes Affidavit of eligibility (attached in PDF format) returned to me within 14 days to the following address:

Dell Inc. One Dell Way, Round Rock, TX, 78682

Congratulations and thank you for visiting Dell at CES 2006!

I immediately wrote back saying that I get emails everyday claming You Have Won!

Soon after came: RE: CES 2006 Dell $1500 Promotional Gift Card Give Away

Hi Paul,

Yea, I was worried about it getting stuck in your spam filters and was going to call, if you didn't respond quickly.  This is for real, you won, feel free to call my voicemail direct. Legal is pretty specific about how I reference the give away. I do need to get the Affidavit before I can send it out the gift card.

It's only a few months since I met Michael Dell, so I sent him greetings as I pondered what to buy at dell.com. After experiencing CES I went right to the Plasma Screens and soon realized that if I combine this Gift Card with an offer or two I might just land a 42" HD Plasma TV before Scoble gets one!

I'm on a lucky streak, so I signed-on today to go back to Las Vegas for the new Microsoft conference called Mix06 and just my luck the Scobleizer has a video on Channel9 with the Mix06 Team.
