I met Avaya's CEO Don Peterson last night at a party and he asked me to please get up early today and listen to his Keynote at SpeechTEK . I didn't get home till 11:30 and was out of the house by 5:30, caught Don's Keynote at 8:00 As he delivered Avaya's vision for Intelligent Communications through Speech Automation.
Don did a fine job, he quoted Steve Wynn who's new resort utilizes Avaya's IP Telephony solutions to give each guest a very personalized experienced. Then I recalled that I was at the Avaya party in Las Vegas when Steve said the line Don was now quoting.
Don reckons that this is the year that IP Telephony will reach and surpass the tipping point as it replaces traditional telephone systems.
