Windows XP Professional x64 Edition will be launched along with the Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions at WinHec on April 25, 2005, 10 am PST.
It’s nineteen months since AMD launched the Athlon 64 processor, I was there as one of the lucky 64 System Builders to receive a Athlon 64-FX chip and have been running my machine on beta software all this time. I’m going to be at WinHec as will AMD, let’s hope that a copy of Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is in our welcome bag, because we have waited a long, long time for this!
