About Google Print - Information for Publishers

Want 'War and Peace' Online? How About 20 Pages at a Time?

Just public domain books are available for search right now, but if the Publishing Moguls get their way Google will be working for them and charging readers micropayments, something like a nickel a page. The Publishing Moguls like the Record Tycoons just don't understand what is happening with distribution over the people's Internet, my words are scanned by Google search everyday and thousands of people follow the links back here. I never charged Google a fee, tariff or toll and why should I? Google is amplifying my voice like a 10,000 mega watt Radio Station Transmitter and I never have to climb the tower.

New! Announcing Killer Yahoo! Maps Beta APIs

The new Yahoo! Maps Beta is incredibly cool, not the least because of all of the APIs it exposes to developers. With the new Yahoo! Maps APIs you gain powerful new ways to display your geographical content in your way and in your space. Now you can embed Yahoo! Maps within your own web site or application. Build mashups like store locators, plan outings and events, or create custom routes -- whatever you can dream of. You build it, you host it and bring a new level of interactivity to your site.

New! Local Search API Returns Latitude-Longitude and User Reviews

Version 2 of the Local Search API now makes it easy to connect your application with the wealth of data in Yahoo! Local. Now the Local Search API returns longitude-latitude with every search result for easy plotting on a map. You can query to see what is around you and find how the establishment measures up with ratings from Yahoo users, giving added context to your applications!

I can't find my way home on the new Yahoo! Maps, but back on MyYahoo the Map knew where I lived.

I've been using the new Microsoft Streets and Trips, it knows where I am as soon as I boot-up my laptop! The GPS locator that comes with Streets and Trips tracks me everywhere I go accurately and that's extremely helpful when traveling to an appointment in a town I know little about. The GPS locator shows me where I am and the Map indicates my destination on the optimal route from my house.

Googles API’s are of no use to me when I’m sitting at a crossroads and I can call-out Yahoo, Yahoo, Yahoo, but only Streets and Trips comes along with me.
