I attended the NYC Press Event for the International CES today, that’s the big consumer electronics show in Las Vegas for those of you not in the know. I expected to have a great time, but except for a chance encounter with an incredibly beautiful Brazilian woman demonstrating a bluetooth headset, it was not a fun crowd. I go to many Tech conferences, but to be in a room full of obnoxious Press people who were more concerned with the Blu-ray vs HD DVD conflict then any other bright idea that may be found at this years CES was not fun.
Thousands of companies from over a hundred countries will be showcasing hundreds of thousands of new and exciting electronic devices, many of which will require software…
The CES announced today that at their Spring Break event in Washington DC on March 15, Bill Gates will be presented with the Industry Digital Patriot Award, but when I called out Beware the Ides of March, no one present seamed to know what I was talking about…, but this was a Press event after all….
The International CES has a blog now, maybe next year we can have a CES blogger event in NYC, now that would be fun!
