ARM and Microsoft

ARM and Microsoft is what is printed on the nice laptop bags that were given out at the ARM Developer Conference, but Microsoft is a no-show here.

IPods, PsP's and tons of mobile phones are all over the exhibit hall but not one sign of Windows CE or Windows Mobile.

I had a good day sitting in on talks about 3D Graphics on mobile devices, amazing stuff. No Java here, some Flash and lots of SVG. I saw demos of games on PocketPC's and tiny mobile phone screens, incredible stuff!

I could go on and on, but Nvidia's SDK's are there to be downloaded and a new developer site as well, so sign-up and start developing the next generation of mobile graphics!

Google+Sun

GoogleOffice is arriving along with the JavaToolbar, or something to that effect.

''Working with Google will make our technologies more available more broadly, increase options for users, lower barriers and expand participation worldwide,'' says Scott McNealy

''Google and Java are two of the most widely recognized technology brands because they provide users with online tools that enhance their lives on a day to day basis,'' says Eric Schmidt. ''We look forward to exploring other areas of collaboration.''

I'm here in Silicon Valley today at the Arm developer conference and nobody is talking about Google or Sun, but this all seams to me like the revenge of Netscape.
