DTCP-IP

Intel, Industry Leaders Develop First Standards-Based Products Enabling Premium Content For The Digital Home

Digital Transmission Content Protection over IP (DTCP-IP) has arrived.

Through DTCP-IP-enabled platform, consumers (thats people like you and me)  will have greater flexibility in accessing and distributing content within a standalone or networked home environment. What this means is that after we pay for content (Movies, Songs, Games) we will be able to share it over our Home Networks from PC to PC, PC to TV, from room to room all around our house. DTCP-IP will not allow us to transmit packets of protected data to our friends and family outside of our Home Network on that Internet thing.

The Digital Home is upon us, music, sports, video, conversations (whats a telephone) and that super cool refrigerator that we have heard so much about.  DTCP-IP will be included in Microsoft's Windows Media Player 11, but didn't we just get to 10?
