In the IT business, Hardware or Software you must keep running just to stay in the same place. If you want to get ahead you need to find other runners with the same goals so you can all learn from each other. I belong to four User Groups and have been to four Tech Conferences this year and at each I have learned new things and made new friends.
When I first got into computers I was completely isolated, it was just me and my machine. When I went to University we had one computer and the only time I got to use it was when we alphabetized the list of record albums at our Radio Station.
Blogs are also a fantastic way to learn and meet new people interested in emerging technologies. My blog is like a collage notebook recording my journey and it’s linked to many other blogs and we trackback to one another as we keep running…
