Another great day here at DevConnections, I have had a chance to catch-up with five of the people on my blogroll. Todays sessions began with Rob Howard talking about ASP.Net Provider Model Design Patterns, useful in ASP.Net 1.x and everywhere in ASP.Net 2.0! The new ASP.Net membership features are a great way to help with personalization and it is all about personalization these days.
Brian Noyes gave a great before lunch talk on ClickOnce with Mr. Web Forms Billy Hollis looking on. Lots on the new bootstrapper to “push-out” the .Net Framework 2.0 (remember nobody has the .Net Framework 2.0 installed yet), but the bootstrapper will require that the user is running Windows XP as an Admin, oh my! The MSI with auto upload will install everything you need for the ClickOnce to work, but you need to be the Admin.
This afternoon it's Sir Billy Hollis and advanced Web Forms, the conference network will be disabled by the time that is finished, so I will let you know how that went whenever I get a chance...
