Spare change

I’d like to give a Shoutout to Mark, Marc, John, Jeffrey and Jerry, my billionaire buddies. I’ve been to many conferences, met a few billionaires in my time (OK another Shoutout to Bill and Steve), but no other gathering was ever so concentrated or blogged about as Web 2.0.

Every time a billionaire spoke and the audience was asked for questions Marc Cantor would find the microphone and proceeded to “spare change” the billionaires “boys club”. Well it looks as if his efforts have gotten the EFF $100,000, cha-ching!

Mark Cuban, has donating $100,000 to the eff.org foundation which, he said is putting money toward fighting the Induce Act, to save a million-plus jobs in the technology industry.

After dinner at Web 2.0 Mark was “interviewed” by a hyperjerk (he needed a notebook) John Heilemann, as they were sitting down hyperjerk commented that the Red Sox would win this year and as I am from The Bronx I had to interject some reality. The blog BuzzMachine said it was about the Mavs and Cnet said it was about Mark’s blog, but Mark got a kick out of it and we had a good laugh about it at the opening night party. Mark and I had a good talk, I had left a comment on his blog four months ago and he remembered it!
