Closing out the year
Hi everyone. Its been quite a long time since I posted anything here and thats because I was on holiday and I intentionally avoided anything to do with tech stuff. Had a great time back home in India and left just before the tsunami chaos and although I live in chennai my home is quite far from the sea so there was no real danger. It was very scary to see the beach I had visited just a few days ago being completely covered over and wrecked.
Well, my holiday is getting over now and I'm getting back to work on Tuesday so I'm gearing up for it. I just downloaded the DNN 3.0.7 release and am going to install and start playing with it. Need to work on my church site using Rainbow too. At this rate, by the time I get it done, DNN 3.0 is going to be officially released and I'll probably migrate to it before going live.
Quite excited about getting back to work as I'm going to get my hands on a nice juicy new project. [I still dont know if it will be .NET or Java though !! ]. But I've got a whole lot of things planned for installing and learning Whidbey, posts on ideas for components and all that so this blog shouldnt be affected too much even if I do go and play with another technology for a while. Might help me appreciate .NET even more this way. This year was very good and full of hands on coding. Hope next year is similiar.
Here's wishing all of you a very Happy New Year.
Cheers
Benjy
