New Regional Director

The rumors are true...Microsoft has just made me a Regional Director (http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/community/rd/default.aspx). What does this mean to you? It means you'll probably hear more from me. More opinions, more facts, more code. And hopefully I can be of more help to you.

I am quite honored to be included in the RD program, and look forward to participating even more in the developer community. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions, etc.

Want a Google GMail Account? Got an Idea for VWD 2005 Express?

I have SIX G-Mail invitations to give out. Rather than give them to the first 6-people that respond, I am going to make it more interesting.

I want to write a simple extension to the Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Starter Kit (Personal Web Starter Kit). I've thought about a couple things to do, but need more ideas. Ultimately I want to use this extension as a training tool for beginning developers (ranging in age from teens to adult career changers). It shouldn't be too complex, but it should demostrate the features of Visual Web Developer 2005 Express, and get the trainee ready for the next step in training (a more advanced beginner training).

Between now and Sept 8, 2004 at 12:00 PST you can post a comment on this blog with your idea. I will give the invitations to the people who submit the best idea.

Yes, this is subjective, but hey, I have the invites, so I'll decide who gets it.

Good Luck!
