Krugle, the new Google for software developers

Krugle, the new Google for developers If you’ve ever had problems
finding code or answers to coding problems using Google, you may want
to take a look at Krugle http://krugle.com/, currently in development. You can sign up to be notified when Krugle goes live at http://krugle.com/beta/.
According to them they are going to “go live” on March 8th, coinciding
with O’Reilly’s Emerging Technology Conference. They also have a blog
at http://www.krugle.net/wordpress/.
Krugle is a new search tool made especially to cater to a developer’s
searching needs. According to their web site Krugle helps you to:

Quickly find source code.
Find source code related to technical information
Save, annotate, and share your search results with others
In addition it will generate API reports that will show how components
communicate between each other. Essentially a list of API calls made by
each component. Helpful when trying to figure out how components
operate in the grand scheme of things.
This tool looks
interesting. I wonder if they will produce a tool to index and allow
search through code that is stored on local machines

live Virtual India

Well done Microsoft Research , they have released a first public build of their Virtual India research project. Language choices for the UI and map labels include English, Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil.

A personal mobile communication device which lets you be free and fun. It is light, simple and carefree. You can change its form according to your needs during the day. You dont have to carry it in your pocket or on your wrist. You can carry it anywhere, in anyform. You can roll it, bend it, put on your clothes like a clip. It also makes some form changes that makes it more ergonomical: i.e. when you want to talk on the phone, the body form turns into the form of the good old telephone. You can personalize these forms and record them. So it fits you the best in the way that you have chosen. Also e-motions let you send forms to other 888 users: i.e. you can send a heart shape to your girlfriend or a dancing figure to your friends to call them to the party tonight. This way you can talk without words.

It uses liquid battery, speech recognition, flexible touch screen, touch sensitive body cover which lets it understand and adjust to the environment. It has a simple programmable body mechanism so that it changes forms in different situations.

*the functionality of design

*how the user interacts
E-motions... It means electronical motions that 888 has. You can send and receive forms from / to friends. You can send a heart shape to your girlfriend, so her telephone turns into an icon of heart. Or you can send a dancing form to your friends to call them to the party tonight. This is the fun side of the product. If we look from the functionality side, 888 is quite flexible. You can put it into your pocket, roll it and make it smaller, or put on your wrist when you want to make a video call on the go. If you want to talk like a normal telephone, there you have your telephone shape. We go through a lot of places and situations in the daily life, so it seems like one form is not enough.

*what is unique ?
You can change the form of the body. Not just the color. And you can do the same by sending an e-motion to your friend.

*the inspiration
The idea is that "the perfect form" does not exist. "Form follows you" We create the perfect form for each function.

Upcoming Poet

Lately we have noticed that our 3 year son Abhishek is an upcoming poet, he mixes his Rhymes and makes up his own songs / rhymes. thi smorning he confirmed this by coming up with a modified version of “2 Little Dickie Birds” Rhyme

His version it started with the orignal and continued with his additions

Gmail Changes to GoogleMail in UK

The story behind the new "Google Mail" name

You may have noticed the Google Mail logo. We are changing our service's name in the UK. Starting October 19, 2005, all new accounts will have @googlemail.com addresses. Don't worry, though – all messages are being sent and delivered as before.

Why the name change then?

We have been involved in a dispute regarding the Gmail trademark in the UK. Another company has claimed rights to the Gmail name. We have tried to resolve this dispute through negotiations, but our efforts have failed.

We are still working with the courts and trademark office to protect our ability to use the Gmail name, but in the meantime, we want you to have an email address you can rely on.

The Gmail Team is dedicated to offering the best email service to our users. Our email service stays the same no matter what the logo is or what follows the @ symbol. This change lets our team focus their time on continuing to bring you excellent service.

What this means for our users

Do I need to do anything?
No. Although the name is changing, your email service remains the same. To sign in, you can go to the same page as before, or you can now also visit: http://mail.google.com/mail.

When will you start offering Google Mail accounts? When will this change take place?
Starting October 19, 2005, the Gmail service will be renamed Google Mail in the UK. We will no longer issue new @gmail.com addresses. All new addresses will be @googlemail.com addresses.

What if I invite someone? Will they also have to create an @googlemail.com address?
That depends on where your invitation recipients are located. If they are in a country where we issue Gmail accounts, then they will be able to create a Gmail account. But from the UK, you will only be able to send Google Mail invitations. If your recipient is also in the UK, he or she will only be able to create an @googlemail.com account.

What if I'm a UK user who already has a Gmail address? Will that address ever change?
Unfortunately, we don't know. We would love to say that your address will always remain the same. But the trademark issue is still unsettled, and unfortunately, we cannot predict what the other party or the courts might do here. You can always use your same username with an @googlemail.com address to avoid this issue later on. But trust that we will do the best we can to make sure your email address won't ever have to change.

What if I'm a UK user who already has a Gmail address? Will I also need to change that address?
No, this change doesn’t affect existing Gmail addresses. For now, our plan is only to issue @googlemail.com addresses to new users. Trust that we will do the best we can to offer all our users a reliable and consistent email experience.
