TechEd 2005 Europe - 1
Tomorrow morning I'm off to TechEd 2005 Europe in Amsterdam. We'll be more than 300 Belgians which will attend this year largest Microsoft conference in Europe. Of those 300 people we also have a number of Belgian speakers at TechEd. An overview:
Alain Leroy will be demystifying the Smart Client on Wednesday, Isabelle Van Campenhoudt will introduce us to the SQL Server Migration Assistant tool (SSMA) on Thursday, Jurgen Postelmans will explain how to Developing SQL Server 2005 OLAP Applications with ADO MD.NET on Friday morning, Patrick Tisseghem will do a level 300 dev talk on how to develop Site Definitions and Templates for Windows SharePoint Services on Wednesday, Peter Himschoot will cover ASP.NET 2.0 in his talk and Ronald Laeremans flies in from Redmond to do a chalk-talk on Porting C++ to 2005 on Friday and to deliver a presentation (Wednesday) on Visual C++ and .NET: Great Performance, Full Access and Easy Migration of Existing Code. Hopefully I didn't forget anyone!
Monday is pre-conference day and throughout the rest of the week I also have a number of side-meetings scheduled which I will attend. Of course my main goal at TechEd is to get some technical education by attending as much sessions as possible, to do some community and networking and get my hands on some brand new technologies. All Belgian TechEd-attendees should have received a mail to register for the Belgian Country Drink on Wednesday-evening. If you haven't registered and you are planning to attend, please do so.
If you already want to get in the TechEd mood and see the venue, check this post by Paul Gielens.
See you all in Amsterdam and don't forget to say hi!
